In December 2020, I started an Insurance niche website for my partner called advantgelifehealth.com.
I decided to gift my partner a digital asset for the holidays and rest assured he is as perplexed as I was a couple of years back when he gave me a highly prized 212 area code phone number as a gift.
I’ve come to realize the value of that phone number, believe or not, does have some good resell value.
As I write this, I just realized it is another form of digital goods that can be collected and sold, just like domain names are.
Coming back to advantagelifehealth.com, this website is supposed to help aid my partner in generating leads for his insurance – book of business.
He sells life insurance, health insurance from the .gov US marketplace, annuities, CDs, checking accounts, savings accounts, and most recently – property and casualty insurance for businesses.
Ideally, the website will be geared to selling products that he is associated with, but not as an affiliate. Selling affiliate products may be an option in the future, but since we are focused on lead generation – we don’t want to move the traffic towards other products – yet.
When we do, we will consider affiliating with several personal finance affiliate providers.
The insurance industry is a trillion-dollar market (number reported for 2017 by policyadvice.net). Selling insurance is a people and relationships business. We want to build a brand that people will recognize (brand recognition) and educate others about the opportunities they have when using insurance, which is not widely understood.

Outsourced Jobs
Content writing: We hired Niche Website Builders to write our content, more details on this are below.
Social Media Management: Hired a young girl to like, comment, and share content across the industry related posts and popular figures on Facebook.
Organic Search Strategy
The website will be touching on very competitive and highly saturated keywords as the main topic Pillars. Then the low difficulty keywords will be targeted as sub pages to the main topic.
In other words, by using the Hub and Spoke methodology, we will build topical authority on several “insurance” and “healthcare” topics.
After doing keyword research via Ahrefs, i realized just how heavily saturated the insurance and healthcare industry is. Most keywords were over the 30 Difficulty range and will prove to be a challenge to rank for.
There are dozens of well established insurance companies vying for leads, and as familiar household namebrands – there will be a huge level of difficulty to reach the level of authority of these sites.
So far the metrics are showing a total of 65 views on search engines and a total of 41 visits. These numbers are quite astounding as the website only has 3 published posts to date (with one being published today).
It appears the reason for this would be that we have two (2) expired domain names redirected to the domain. This event has increased the websites DA to 10 according to SEMrush.
Content Strategy
Personally, I do not like the topic of insurance as it requires a lot of research and financial concepts that can be hard to understand, and thus can prove harder to explain.
I hired an established content agency because they were fairly priced (in December) running a great deal (when most companies do) so I was able to get 60,000 words of excellent english written quality articles for $3,500. This averages to about .058 a word.
I figured outsourcing this task would take care of the heavy research, but it appears it really just depends on the writer assigned to the task and their level of comprehension. So far one article has been heavily post-edited because the information was inaccurate and poorly researched.
Future Content Strategy
I will continue to post the articles niche website builders has completed, I do run every article through Frase for an optimization check and for overall quality check.
Because insurance content is research heavy, I will probably revert to writing the content myself in the future. I imagine that using AI tools to generate insurance content is easy since there are so many resources available online for AI GPT-3 technology to reference.
Lastly, the content the is produced later will be based on low difficulty keywords.
Social Media Strategy
In order to scale our resources, it is best to outsource a proven procedure on someone elses time.
Our social media strategy is to hire freelancers to do the social media activities such as liking other peoples comments, making commentary, and sharing relevant resources for followers to appreciate.
Right now we’ve only hired one indiviudal for Facebook outreach, and will be expanding those resources to Twitter and Linked-in.
I don’t know if you would refer to the Google My Business (GMB) listing as a social media platform, but there is a posts section now available to people who post their services up. It is a channel that is directly connected to Google Web Search, so there is likely to be a great potential for traffic from this platform.
It appears most of the new traffic we have been receiving is from establishing a GMB listing.
Lead Generation Strategy
In order to generate and capture leads, we have integrated the calendly plugin on the wordpress website.
Basically, we are hoping to encourage users to schedule a time to talk with us for their insurance and health marketplace needs.
On every page, we will have several Calls to Action (CTA) using buttons, hyperlinked text, and embedded html calendly calendars.
This method is to get people to call or schedule to speak with us directly.
Email Leads Capture
In order to capture e-mails, we are using SendinBlue. The HTML forms you can create are customizable and pretty basic in terms of appearance but they do the job.
Each form is providing a relevant lead magnet (freebie). See the examples below for a better understanding.
We hope to make a relevant lead capture form, and freebie for every topic vertical on this website.
Creating the Lead Magnets
Creating these freebies, or lead-magnets were a challenge in within itself. You have to use a document editor or word processing software, or you can also use Canva.
Professional digital creators use software like Adobe Indesign or Illustrator to build a fancy document.
Personally, I just used Google Docs, and since I happen to be very well-versed in document formatting, making it look even and presentable was quite easy for me (you can see a preview of the documents above in the lead capture form).
I am very interested in creating digital goods such as this, and despite the time suck they can be, I believe they can become as valuable as an NFT (just kidding). Why are people actually buying these?
Forecast for the 2nd Quarter – Insurance Niche Website
I look forward to seeing the results come June, at the end of the 2nd quarter of this year.
I believe we can achieve 1-2K in traffic and quite possibly more by publishing the remaining NWB articles.
We will continue sharing our progress as time allows.
